What a delightful surprise to arrive home after 8 weeks away to find your welcome letter, that had been forwarded to me by Bill Morris.

I am thrilled that William Shakespeare and the Globe has been nominated for The Children's Crown Award. It was such a difficult task to do that it is especially wonderful that it has been selected. Thank you so much for telling me, and good luck to the other authors on your list and to the wonderful children and teachers, dedicated to reading, who will make the final choice.
